About IPv6 Addresses
- IPv6 addresses are 128 bits long
- They are written as eight groups of four hexadecimal digits
- Each group represents 16 bits
- Groups are separated by colons (:)
- Leading zeros in a group can be omitted
- One or more consecutive groups of zeros can be replaced with a double colon (::)
